This bursary will support talented students from developing countries through an LLM at SOAS.

The SOAS School of Law has created the Professor Anthony Dicks Bursary in memory of its former Head, Professor Anthony Dicks QC.

Professor Dicks had a long association with SOAS. He was Head of Department and Professor of Chinese Law and before that Visiting Professor of Chinese Law. Aside from leading the Law Department, Anthony taught Chinese law and supervised a number of PhD students.

The Professor Anthony Dicks Bursary will support talented students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to pursue an LLM at SOAS. Initially, we are aiming to raise £10,000 to support two students with £5,000 fee reduction, with the further aim to secure enough funds to repeat the bursary over the next five years.

About who will benefit – These scholarships will benefit talented students from developing countries who would not be able to pursue an LLM in London without some financial assistance.
